Pantomime confusion

#621097

Postby DrFfybes » October 17th, 2023, 11:25 am

I've just been to a Quantum Pantomime.

Thoroughly confusing - Dick Whittington was looking for his cat, called Schrodinger. There was some uncertainty as to whether it had killed the rats or not, and depending on where they were sat people were shouting "It's Behind You" and "It's In Front Of You" at the same time.

And when the audience wasn't observing, Schrodinger went through two cat flaps at the same time...

Shirley the point about Schrödinger's cat is it only assumes the definite state of being either dead or alive once somebody observes it?

Or do I have the wrong end of the stick? Or the wrong stick even?

OB Joke:
Bloke tried to sell me a coffin. I said sorry mate, that's the last thing I need…

Edit to add OB joke.

Why did the Northerner go through the cat flap?
He'd left his flat cap the other side! And HS2 was cancelled.

Kinda almost off the subject here, but here in the colonies, and more especially in SoCal, Dick Whittington was a disc jockey who pulled enough outlandish stunts that he was suspended more then once by the radio station for which he was working. One of the more severe things that comes to mind was when he pretended to call Jean Dixon (a supposed seer of some renown) shortly after the "big one" earthquake in '71. She ""predicted there would be another one, but greater, which caused some people to panic enough to leave the state.
