I too have several suits which have shrunk. The question is should I buy another which will fit. I can just about get away with a dark jacket and trousers for funerals which are becoming an increasing feature in my life.

Re: How the economy works
My suits from my youth having inexplicably shrunk, I haven't had a suit this century (well, except the dinner suit).
For funerals I have black trousers and a sombre black tie, which I wear with a plain white shirt. Seems to be OK.

Re: How the economy works
I think there has been a drop in standards from some of our contributors on the dress front.
As I row up and down the loch, hunting out the brown trout, they (the trout) will be happy to know that I am properly dressed with a shirt and a tie (and, of course other garments - since I'm not the naked rambler).
Standards are standards.

I've just discovered item 179...While returning clothing to shop, wife reviews decision while at the returns counter and decides to keep clothing

I seemed to, until into my forties.

At as you are a Trout Angler you must know that you should always be well dressed, just like your flies.
