We've acquired an aopted Jet Wash Jimmy/Odd Jobber. Some time back I mentioned about one of the lads in the school for troubled kids that my grandson teaches at and we seemed to have adopted said young man. OK, he occasionally forgets the rules but on the whole the positive's outweight the negatives by a country mile.
If he sees me/OH struggling or trying to do any job he's there in a flash to help and he can be trusted to do any job when instructed properly. We now entrust him with ferrying me to the village shop in Aggie. He's so thrilled to be driving even though he's not allowed on the roads but if anything needs delivering anywhere that is near the farm he hops on the quad and he's away. He knows that if one wheel touches the road he'll lose all privileges so is very careful to remain on our property.
Since he's been staying at weekends and holidays his school work has improved and he should, hopefully, do well with GCEs. Fingers crossed.
