Or maybe because he doesnt have to waste huge amounts of time on a train/car/bus each way to work he starts dead early instead and has a break during the morning?

From Yorkshire Building Society:

Due to coronavirus, we’re taking a much larger number of calls than usual in our contact centre. So that we can focus on helping those who are most vulnerable, for the time being, we’d really appreciate customers calling only if their query genuinely can’t wait.


I just wonder what these 'much larger number of calls than usual' are about.

Maybe not so much more people calling, as fewer employees on the phone...... or who give a toss? ;)
