I've purchased an X-Box wireless game controller so that I can play some games on my pc.

I've taken it out of the box, and you'll not beleive it ... the damn thing comes with instructions! The cheek of it.

I'm taking it straight back to the shop

Have you checked whether the instructions are in Chinglish, or comprehensible or for a whole range of models all different from the one you have?

I naively thought that an x-box controller would be for an x-box.
