Angela Gheorghiu has revealed that to relax her voice before a performance she advocated sex with the tenor Roberto Alagna, then her husband. Interesting.

Turns out that Roberto Alagna was married to her at that time, but they have since divorced.

Not sure how that's a curiosity. Surely one's state after sex jolly well should be one of relaxation, which is good for many things.

Much more interesting would be whether that correlated to the kind of role she was playing (she's done a fair few romantic and tragic heroines). And in the (many) roles where she plays a lover, whether her lover was played by Alagna or Other.

I did not know where to post this.

My twisted mind thought it was quite amusing that she should have sex, first with Roberto Alagna, and then her husband. I did not know the name.

Quite disappointed to discover that he was at the time of the remark married to her.

I believe Sir Stirling Moss once claimed he abstained from sex for 5 days before a Grand Prix race.
