I remember many years ago it had a refurb which didn't go down well with the locals. Someone who posted here or on the old Motley Fool was an investor in the place, so I will stay neutral on the matter
If we wanted to get out of Slough (who doesn't?) we'd normally head south into Windsor
There was also a good triangle of pubs in Burnham Beeches to the north: The Blackwood Arms, The Woodman, and another one which I think closed
