Waterways and problems with Canal and River Trust

Not sure where to post this.
I know that there has been discussion by members about river and canal boats (with great pictures of engines).
I am not a boater but came across a disturbing article about the seizing, by Canals and River Trust without warrant, of someone's Boat/Home. In this case because the 12 month licence was wrongly shown as 6 months on the authority computer! Boat recovered after litigation at CRT expense.
The article mentioned a lot of boats being removed or seized and about problems people living in boats were having and this was an ongoing problem
I thought that Members would probably be aware but in case they were not the article was in
Private Eye Magazine Issue No. 1538
For 8th Jan 2021 - 21st Jan 2021 on Page 41 There is no easy way to link to the magazine article.
Article mentions an attempted power grab by CRT trying to gain more powers to remove live-aboard boaters from the waterways.
