“How much will one cost?”
“£1.50,” replied the sales assistant.
“And how much will twelve cost?”
“£3.”
“Okay. I’ll take one hundred and twelve.”
“That will be £4.50.”
What was the customer buying?

House numbers?

112 would be 3 x £1.50 = £4.50

Well solved, paradigm. And very quick too - only eight minutes.
