Cryptic eh?

Ford Popular Distributer Arm? Would never have got it without the clue! Although I guessed it might be an **m and it took me a while to work out if that fitted with the clue!

I'm worried this colour might be too visible, which colour is best? This one is one up from white in drop down box.

Not an arm, and Nothing to do with cars.

Monabri knows what it is.

Check the earlier replies: It is not used with one of the other objects, it is used after one of the other objects; and it is not a bottle opener.

Is it a handle for winding photographic film into a developing container?

Scott.

Me too ;) viewtopic.php?p=493318#p493318, and I dunno why I didn't twig after my bottle opener guess, but as I say, I don't recall ever actually using one.

Yes, Monabri's cryptic is good! (although even if solved may not mean anything to most people).

It seems that a few of you know what it is.

The unwell car clue refers to the brand, and is one that I would expect most people on here to be aware of. They make a range of products, both solid and liquid, which may provide a clue.

I am guessing that the guessing has finished (and some of you know what it is).

It is for removing the end of a 35mm film cassette. This allows easy retrieval of the film for loading it onto a developing tank reel.

It is used like a bottle opener like this, https://www.speedgraphic.co.uk/film_processing/ilford_35mm_film_cassette_opener/28733_p.html although, personally, I would tend to use it either in a darkroom or inside a changing bag.
