May I add gas and electricity?

When I first started pointing out that smart meters make it possible with the click of a mouse in Whitehall for a government to cut off the gas and electricity supplies to anyone whose views it disagrees with, it all seemed a bit far fetched. But now with all this debanking happening, it looks a whole lot more likely to me.

De-gasifying and de-electrifying troublesome citizens by mouse-click is much easier than cutting off their water supply, which still requires a visit the property.

This is an old ad. by a data collection company called Onzo. Quickly withdrawn when they realized what they had put out there - it basically says that the energy companies will know everything about their customers, even how old their appliances are:

If you have a smart TV then look at the terms and conditions - most of them will say that the manufacturer will have a right to collect data about what you watch.

Wait until AI comes along, you won't be able to go for a **** without someone knowing

But what does that even mean? I could maybe understand it if hordes of other customers were closing their accounts as a protest against Coutts having NF as a client. But that wasn't happening. I suspect that many of their customers could be seen as a bit dodgy.

But Coutts have messed up big time. I dislike NF with quite a passion, but even I feel he appears to have been hard done by.

The way I recall it, political correctness started permeating educational institutions around 1990. The folks who were at an impressionable age back then are coming into positions of power and influence now, just as the less woke-infested boomers retire. Coincidence?

The way I recall it, political correctness started permeating educational institutions around 1990. The folks who were at an impressionable age back then are coming into positions of power and influence now, just as the less woke-infested boomers retire. Coincidence?

Of course the boomers just conformed to their parents' ideals of how society should be ordered

Actually no, it was the boomers who rebelled against their parents' values in the 1960s and 1970s. That whole counter-culture hippy/punk thing.

Before getting their hair cut and getting down to the serious business of making money and voting Tory.

The smileys were meant to indicate sarcasm. While as gen-X, my sympathies are closer to boomer than gen-Z, it does make me laugh when boomers go on and on and on and on about "woke" etc. As if they didn't impose their views on their elders? They changed societies values, but get very upset when future generations try do likewise.
