I have various questions about the meaning of the various descriptors. Is there anywhere that provides more information about the reality behind the descriptions ?
eg How does an ordinary trade for 4 shares come about ?
Does AT simply include deals that have been through an order book rather than been effected immediately ?

a low number of shares could be a dividend reinvestment (DRIP)
using the word 'various' twice doesn't really give enough to go on

Thanks. pje. At least that is one explanation. However "O" trades for trivial numbers of shares appear with surprising frequency for non dividend paying stocks.
