I agree with the comments about iWeb. Cheap, wholly owned by Lloyds Bank, and no real problems for run of the mill investments. Not perfect, but I have yet to find a broker that is.

Nothing wrong with iweb.

Only minor quibble was with somero dividends which they don't reclaim witholding tax on (US company)

US withholding tax can't be reclaimed in an ISA (or a dealing a/c). The best that can be done is to get it reduced from 30% to 15% by filling in the W-8BEN form, which you have to do to trade US shares anyway.

In a SIPP it's possible to get a zero rate of withholding tax on US sourced dividends, and some brokers offer this, but IWeb do not.

Interactive Investor - cost £9.99 per month but you do get one "free" trade per month.

They also do regular investment with no trading fees so one could top up a Vanguard fund(s), IT, Individual share.

Yes, but for some reason they won't do that for somero.
