Had a bit of luck
I was transferring my pension from workplace to II. I was delighted to find I am in the lucky position to have moved into cash a week ago without knowing.
Do I go back in now? Or wait. Was in a 70 30 lifestyke fund

Keep your eyes peeled and get ready to be greedy. Good luck to you. I am off to the Caribbean for a week to drink cheap Rum and forget about it all for the time being.

Re: Had a bit of luck
You could take your 70% and drip it in to 100% over say 8 months upping the %age if/as the market turns and rebalance your bond allocation too? Sounds a bit like timing the market which is as much luck as skill I recon. Even going back all in now you've improved your position assuming reversion to mean.

I was thinking maybe put 1/2 in tomorrow, can see another red day and then I can only be 1/2 wrong

Well I'd say waiting another day looks like you've got more downward movement.

Yes it could be but I doubt it. Coronavirus is not suddenly going to disappear and all be sweetness and light. More likely I think is that the market will drop a bit more then bounce along somewhere near the bottom and as the virus subsides will gently rise again or maybe quickly but I do not think that is going to happen an y time soon. The virus looks as if it has someway to run.
