Soaring markets 2021

... according to optimistic investment bank forecasts. Going to see rising markets and a powerful rotation into value stocks. Footsie to soar, make up 2020 Covid losses.

Think tad optimistic but, according to...

Goldman forecast 2021 S&P by end Dec 2021 4300 +19%, Footsie +14%, Asia Pacific +18%, Gold $2300

Morgan Stanley forecasts 2021 S&P +8%, Footsie +17%, China booming GDP +9%, Gold $1884

Lucky us :D

12 months ago a Vanguard report saying equities grow is slowing. Just downloaded report from year ago, 10 forecast 3.5-5.5% annualised return. Which to me is a more realistic long term expectation.

What were their forecasts in 2007?

The FTSE which 100 or 250 or what? Anyway I would think that is safe enough as it is a good way back already. The FTSE 100 is very undervalued by world standards and a bit like Personal Assets Trust, soothsayers will be right one of these days.

Gold are forecasting strong growth in the FTSE 100

I agree UK stocks are under-valued, so upside there. I think there other forecasts are too optimistic.

Funny, that. Bank of America is currently advising to sell into the rally..... :|

Fraid I still think it may end in tears. There's not much basic grunt growth going on, except maybe in faangs and China - elsewhere, it all seems to be down to money-printing by the central banks. A Shiller p/e of 32 on the S&P is not leaving very much room for explosive growth. Still, you pays your money etc. I'm not tempted yet. Prefer to sleep at night.
