I'm surprised that there hasn't been a post about investing in British hotels, given the increased demand fuelled by government policy.

A hotel in a town c5 miles away is occupied by the products of govt policy, doesn't look very investible unless one were a demolition contractor.

Which government policy are you referring to? A few asylum seekers being put on a barge (as a gimmick) is hardly going to affect the major hotel chains (e.g. Whitbread).
