I recently became the proud owner of a Haibike electric bike and so far I love it.

Can anyone suggest or recommend an insurer for the bike so that it is covered when I am out and about? It's already covered by my house contents insurance when it's in the garage at home but I need cover in case it's stolen when I'm out somewhere or if I injure or damage a third party.
Most on-line quotes are over £200 which is similar to the cost of my car insurance.
Thanks
Karen

Re: Insurance for an Ebike
I'm insured 3rd party via my CTC* membership, which is (afair £35 pa). I think (but haven't checked) that my house insurance would cover the bike for theft whilst I was away from home.
