Off topic, strictly speaking, but bear with me. And apologies for what might look like a product plug. But as my reading focus dims a bit, I've been seriously impressed with this thing.
A couple of years ago, I was nearly ready to part with about four hundred quid for a decent floor-mounted reading lamp from Serious Readers, as advertised in all sorts of glossy publications aimed at the (ahem) "third age" market. (https://www.seriousreaders.com/) To cut a long story short, I ended up with one of these swan-neck LED things from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CZCVFLC/. Currently £42, but I think I paid about £25 at the time, before the Chinese renminbi started getting more expensive.
Flipping heck! Five different Kelvins, five light levels, and a remote control in case I change my mind about those 25 options after I've already sat down. And the flexible neck that goes down to two feet if I want it, or five feet if I don't. And a very slim profile that means it doesn't get in the way. Three years on, I reckon it's one of the most useful things I've bought in recent years. Most of the time, I'm using it as a desk lamp.
There seem to be loads of Chinese firms running exactly the same product under different names. Shop around. Not bad at all.
