I have quite a nice* aluminium beer bottle with a screw top, which I use from time to time as a water bottle.

I describe its contents as "homeopathic beer", since the science is essentially the same. Sadly, the effect of the active ingredient doesn't seem to have increased through frequent dilutions.

It is supposed to do the opposite of the substance that it contains less than a molecule of so it should, if prepared correctly, sober you up. Did you agitate it sufficiently between dilutions?

I forgot, but I got on the trampoline afterwards.

I'm surprised they took that long! I was in France 89-1998, and their NHS was far superior to even the UK private sector, something that my late father, a Daily Mail reader and BUPA member, laughed about till he broke his ankle while visiting us before our wedding day, and needed very fast treatment. He changed his mind after that.
Even then, the french system was being abused by hypochondriacs who went to the docter cos they had a runny nose.
Good luck to 'em!!
I'd rather the french took over our NHS than the Yanks.

I thought that since the Revolution it was the inalienable right of every French person to visit the pharmacist (rather than the doctor) and be given suppositories (rather than medicine).

Homeopathy is a despicable con trick which exploits the ill and desperate for profit.

If it were up to me, anyone selling homeopathic remedies above cost price (which given they are water would be pennies) would be prosecuted for fraud.

Our kids were born while I was working in France and I didn't realise how backwards the UK system was till I went into a Pharmacy in Stevenage and innocently asked for suppositories for our baby, who had a really bad cold and fever. The look I got!!! We had stuff like Calgon in France as well, but you try getting that down the throat of a crying baby.
For the next few years, we were probably the only tourists who didn't have 'wine' at the top of their list on trips to France! :-)
