What if a 'Life after death' were suddenly proved?

we are introducing this on a trial basis and that respect for other's views is important e.g. phrases like "your imaginary friend" or "you will go to hell" are not appropriate

The question was...

The answer is no.

Why do I assert that?

Because there are plenty of people who are convinced of this life-after-death already. Some of them, e.g. Mother Theresa, do shed-loads of good. Some of them however, various terrorists that have made it clear of their beliefs before blowing themselves and others to oblivion(?), clearly do not care about their life and the lives of others. So no, it wouldn't make everyone care.

Ermmm, I think Mother Theresa has found out for herself by now? ;)

One used to see them as made it to Heaven, playing what might be a harp.
Does this suggest a preferment for musicians?
Might it encourage people to take up the ukelele?

I wonder if she's seen Christopher Hitchens?

That'll be the bagpipes, then. They certainly seemed to do it for Hieronymus Bosch. ;)

I think if more humans knew that they only have one shot at life they may make an effort to do better with it and perhaps consider what they leave behind given that all generations have one shot at life and their starting place is the planet that they inherited and their legacy is the planet they leave behind. Would this be enough? Given we are a coin toss away from climate disaster at the moment I doubt it but there's hope.

Hell is listening to bagpipes for eternity. Now if people knew that was a real risk...

It's an interrogative statement used to test people's knowledge; but that's not important right now! ;)
