Does anyone know why the value of PIBS continues to decline when the issuing Building Societies seem financially strong? A further 2% decline this month alone although there is no new newsflow.

Maybe have a look at inflation rates. When inflation is running at 8.7% how does the real return on a bond yielding 7.5% look?

And interest rates are high which makes Fixed Interest relatively less attractive, hence the fall in bond and Prefs prices.
Now, and the coming months, a good buying opportunity as discussed in this thread.
