Newbie to Lemon Fool but not to investing

#262316

Postby 9fingers » November 5th, 2019, 3:00 pm

Hello All,
This is a query more to show my lack of familiarity with Lemon Fool.

As part of my diversification I've decided to get some gold coins - UK legal tender one to avoid VAT and CGT

Is there a corner of Lemon Fool where the best places to buy such coins might be. A quick web search throws up quite a variation in prices so a bit of guidance would be useful.

Thanks In Advance

Bob

Sharps Pixley sell gold and silver coins. They are bullion merchants, not coin dealers.

They've got some serious financial backing.

You can buy coins in their showroom in St. James Street in Central London.

If you are looking for suggestions regarding dealers, I was given Hatton Garden Metals as a recommendation by someone on The Motley Fool, a predecessor of this site, many years ago. I have used them to buy and sell bullion grade sovereigns and found them easy to deal with, so they might be worth adding to a list of possibles.
