I have heard good things about Lidl, it seems well priced.

Warming up 50 bottles of wine will be an interesting exercise! Can one get drunk on the fumes?

Forget the fumes .... you'd have trouble getting drunk drinking it (and before the alcohol boiled off to some degree from the warming). It's only 8% .... ;)

As an aside - if you find you have any mulled wine left over it's great for adding to casseroles, pasta sauces and the like.

Can you really buy this ready-made? Every time I've had some, it's been served from a large bowl, like punch. It's very easy to make and I wouldn't be surprised if the real stuff tastes a lot better than shop-bought. Cloves, cinnamon, orange etc. Probably a lot less sugar!!

Yes, the fumes are great! :-)

yes you can buy pre made and I have no doubt home made is potentially "better".

But when you are catering for 50 bottles for a christmas concert, its a damned sight easier!
