The Lemon Fool

DAK how I do this? I see several Fools have already done so but I can't see a specific thread on here or on The Fool which says how to do this.

In your profile/account settings (click on your name towards to right of the page, and then 'user control panel' you can apply to join the 'authenticated users' group, but it doesn't say what this means or involves so I haven't done it yet!

I asked a question vaguely on this topic earlier and it seems that this validated status occurs automatically when you have made twenty posts.

I made no special requests, now have 28 posts and am now 'green'. I've made a few posts since I turned green so 20 would seem about when I turned 'green'.

Yes but you made it up to 20 posts on testing and didn't go green. It's all a mystery for now, but heck, we're only three days into this! And I've just requested to go green.

Also I just put in a signature and it's not there on the preview.

I asked, and got a reply. Apparently it's automatic once you've posted more than a set number of posts....

My theory is that it only gets updated once a day, same as the 'Top recommended Fools' was.

I got notified I was 'going green' about 6:00pm today, so have a look in the evening.

Darn, if there's a 6pm cut off then I've just missed it for today. Oh well, that gives me 23.5 hours to make one more post, ready for tomorrow's greening.

I wouldn't hold my breath, this infant site is still in a state of flux - one of the latest changes is that the Validated Users group has gone (still got my green name though)
