what happened to the long coronavirus thread?

Has it been deleted? I hadn't had time to read all of it but would have liked to. I also wanted to ask a question about the relevance of the pneumococcal vaccine, offered by the NHS at age 65, in the Covid-19 context. I understand it doesn't prevent viral infections but would it prevent bacterial infections making the situation worse and possibly make a difference between death and survival? I know it is regarded as a one-off jab but I understand that in some cases a second vaccination is given to at-risk patients if a long time has elapsed since the first, subject to a test of the residual antibody level. DAK how long it takes to get a result of such a test? There was someone with" Dr" in his board name who seemed to be very knowledgeable but I now can't locate him since I can't find the thread.

There are a number but if you use the Coronavirus - A Resource here viewtopic.php?f=86&t=22293, you'll possibly spot the links to the one you want at the foot.

Actually there's something wrong there, is the one you want the one you started on DAK but is now on Health & Wellbeing here?:

Coronavirus Health

Edit: You were probably looking for the one elkay linked to at Beerpig's ...

No, it wasn't that one but I wondered where it had got to. I didn't even know that board existed. It must have been moved. I haven't time to go through all those links at the moment, but thanks for the heads up. Perhaps after I have eaten.

That's likely to be DrFfybes, and if that is the case, then perhaps having a quick scan through his post history can help find the thread you're looking for -

Note that if you click on any of the dark-blue post headings, then you'll be taken to the thread where the post sits, which may help you find the thread you're looking for.

Cheers,

You missed my late edit. See Elkay's link to Beerpig's. That topic is 28 pages long. You are looking for the posts by DrFfybes and they may be easier to find individually via search.php?author_id=990&sr=posts.

Edit: Too slow again!

Thanks to all. How I missed that thread is beyond me. I started off by looking at the top of the Home page but didn't see it. Will post there now.

Come to think of it, when I looked earlier at the summary of what Beerpig's Snug was meant to be for, I didn't think that that could be the board where I had seen serious discussions re Covid-19 but I've posted my questions now.

Does the post linked below help to explain the situation B, especially the group of links at the bottom of it?

The two main virus threads on Beerpig's Snug and also on Polite Discussions are really trying to keep a split between the more general 'lightweight' virus-related discussions and those of a more 'heated/political nature' over on the Polite Discussions board...
