Hi

Last year I changed my phone / Broadband provider to BT , after a lot of Faffing due to technical problems they agreed to give me £40 compensation plus so much would be automaticly credited for late start of service. The offer included 3 months free , so when I recived my first bill It had £40 credit plus a £33 credit , and no other charges , for the next 2 months they added £33 credit each month , but no charges, and now Im getting bills for £0.00 each month and showing £139 credit.
Ive been putting the £33 away each month just in case the bill suddnly arrives , but Im trying to find out how long BT can back bill me , I know when i was with Plusnet and they messed up , they only backbilled three months ,anyone know if this is all that ofcom will allow them to back bill or can the backbill for longer?

Have tried googling it but it always seem to come up with the rules for energy from ofgem which is 12 months
