Whenever I am in ASDA, all its beef seems to have been produced in Ireland, despite this assurance:

It made me think about the source of our meat. If it is grown in Northern Ireland, is it sold as Irish? Or does Produce of Ireland only mean the Republic?

Generally "Irish" refers to products from Eire. "British" would refer to mainland, and "UK sourced" would include NI.
So "British" beef should not even come from NI.
It would appear they may have changed their mind in response to circumstances, or haven't yet made the move due to existing supply contracts/Brexit interim rules, as the article below excludes beef from Ireland!
