A bit of trade jargon (varies by tailor):
personal tailoring = a jacket and trousers already partly or fully made but then altered to fit you
bespoke = built from scratch
made to measure = simplified and cheaper bespoke, with more limited options. Typically cut and assembled in an offsite workroom but with an onsite tailor to make final adjustments

I always imagined "bespoke" meant having a bicycle made for you....

I use iTailor for my shirts. You give in your measurements and a whole host of other detail about the design, it is all modelled in front of you with each extra detail.tonyreptiles wrote:...
The site retains your measurements etc. so tweaking or getting the same shirt in a different colour (for example) is easy.
It is truly fantastic and I almost always get compliments about them when socialising. Resulting from your post I just went through the same procedure for a suit. £139 + £33 shipping (from Thailand where the clothes are made to order).
No idea how the suit will work out bit if it is anything like the shirts then I will be very pleased.
