This cable https://sargentltd.co.uk/shop/product/s ... ec400_/131 has a white plastic plug on the end to allow it to be connected to a corresponding socket on a circuit board.

Does anyone know what these plugs are called, and where I might buy a spare plug on its own?

Probably not relevant now that you've been given some great pointers towards the specific plug, but just for broader awareness with things like these flying leads using what might sometimes be odd-ball connections - there's always the option of using the existing plug and socket combination, and then cutting off the existing cable some way above that connection, at which point you've got some exposed ends where you could utilize some suitable male/female in-line connectors that were perhaps were more readily available, and which you can then utilise into alternative cabling requirements if required...

Try ebay. The specialist suppliers will have minimum order values and significant carriage costs. Of the specialists, CPC are probably one of the cheaper ones but they may or may not stock the exact 'mate'.
