Two part GSF dividend
I received my Gore Street Energy Storage Fund (GSF) dividend yesterday. It was paid in two parts. Presumably it's something to do with the tax treatment of the dividend? I remember seeing a post on lemonfool about a dividend paid in two parts. Could someone give me the link (or a non lemonfool link)?

From the Company website
https://www.gsenergystoragefund.com/con ... 019/120324
in which
Dividend Declaration
The Company's Board of Directors has approved a dividend of 2.0 pence per share for the December-end quarter. The ex-dividend date will be 21 March 2024, followed by a record date of 22 March 2024. The dividend will be paid on or around 12 April 2024.
Any such dividend payment to Shareholders may take the form of either dividend income or "qualifying interest income", which may be designated as an interest distribution for UK tax purposes and, therefore, subject to the interest streaming regime applicable to investment trusts. Of this dividend declared of 2.0 pence per share, 1.76 pence is treated as qualifying interest income.

Thank you. I did look at that RNS - but I didn't read beyond the "Highlights" section.

It's always worth searching the RNS for"dividend", which will eventually lead you to the vital information. Just occasionally they don't tell you, in which case recourse to the company website is needed.
