The interplay between notifications and the ignore function

It is useful to have the facility for an emailed notification when someone comments on a post.

It is also useful to have the facility to ignore certain posters.

However, as it currently stands when someone who is ignored comments on one of my posts I get an emailed notification.

Could you please consider putting on a list the approach whereby if you are ignoring someone you don't get emailed notifications. It is in no way urgent as I know where the delete key is on my keyboard, but it would be quite helpful.

I will ask Stooz who handles the forum software, but I suspect that may be one of its quirks.

That seems logical it should work the way you describe, so apologies that it doesn't. Dev on this version is now closed as we have a large upgrade imminent.
However I suspect the behaviour will be the same.

This has already been filed as bug with phpBB ... although it doesn't look like they're doing much about it ...
