Third (or Thrid according to the rss) Quarter Revenue Update here https://www.investegate.co.uk/article.a ... 700085096T

Falls in revenue as expected owing to the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) measures with a reiterated dividend payment until the Group's earnings allow a resumption of progressive dividends.

Yield up as I type ;)

Cheers, OLTB.

A held dividend, and lessening incoming dosh is enough to put me off. The market seems not to bothered though, down 0.34% as I type.

Probably just because it was all previously publicised. If anything I take it as a positive that they have hit the 43p eps target. If they'd missed that I'd have been worried.

Results Un shabby again I see, up over 9% last time I looked. I made a very respectable amount last year on these going in and out so will look to get in again at some point.

Each to their own Stan, but I like to do minimal trading, so a hold for me.

Yes that's so true IDP, I used to have a similar strategy but changed after loosing to many gains (I'm not a favourite of setting stop gains) so tried shorter term trading which I find I'm more successful at.

I note that IG have been on the up about 100p over the last month so no more problems "off the field" so to speak going forward hopefully.

As a new board user may I ask why you were directing people to chat on HYP Practical? Is this not the place to hold a narrow discussion about individual stocks ... I actually do not fully understand the way to use HYP boards yet, one is Practical (but practical what) and one is I think more general (portfolio stuff or investment strategy discussions)?

Hi again, how it works is like this; This is the board for posting company reports and discussing them if you like. Some of the shares are HYP type shares and the share results would be posted there too. However, in order that we don't have two conversations running on two boards, it's the norm now for the originator of that thread to ask that the chat be on which board.

Ian.

My apologise, I didn't answer your question fully. Regarding HYP Practical, it is for the discussion of HYPs and their management. The guide to that board is here; viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8651 Other high yield strategies are best chatted about on the other board here; viewforum.php?f=31

I hope this helps.

Third Quarter Revenue Update

IG Group Holdings plc ("IG", "the Group", "the Company"), a global leader in online trading, today issues a scheduled update on its revenue for the three months to 29 February 2020 ("Q3 FY20"), the third quarter of its financial year ending 31 May 2020 ("FY20").

Business performance in Q3

The business performed strongly in the third quarter driven by a significant increase in active clients and reflecting increased client trading activity, particularly in the last week of February when financial market volatility was exceptionally high.

Revenue in Q3 FY20 was £139.8 million, 29% higher than in the same period in the prior year. Q3 FY20 was IG's strongest revenue quarter since the implementation of the ESMA product intervention measures in August 2018 and is the third highest quarterly revenue in the Group's history, exceeded only by the last two quarters of FY18.
