New board on which to discuss Rank Group. A share I held many moons ago, but no more.

Ian.

They recently reduced their dividend because of Covid. Is this temporary or are they likely to rebase their dividends and move away from their previous progressive dividend policy?

The dividend wasn't reduced, the last interim (pre-Covid) was increased, and the Final (post-Covid) was cancelled.

This is the latest, relevant, RNS

"In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the material impact to our business the Board will not be proposing a final year dividend. The full year dividend will be 2.8 pence per share reflecting the interim dividend paid on 13 March 2020. As outlined above, the Board is mindful of the importance of the dividend to our shareholders. The Board is committed to paying a dividend when circumstances permit, and this will be kept under regular review."

So all options are open, as they should be.

Thank you, but has there been any indication that they are looking to go back to their progressive ways, or is this going to be another rebaser?

I'd not touch with a bargepole at the moment.

Bingo halls and casinos need people congregating. Granted there are online versions but the bricks and mortar bits aren't COVID proof.

That's the latest RNS, as I said. I don't make any claims to be able to read the future (nor do I care about dividends), but if it is of particular interest to you then search the other RNSs. I use "investigate" as my RBS source, and their search function works perfectly. Ignore the "price monitoring extension" etc. and look for trading updates, results etc.

RNK was on my watch list through much of 2018/19 but never fell enough in price to be bought. It came off in late 2019 and I hadn't seen how far it had fallen. Worthy of review for me (but something would need to be sold to accommodate it now).
