Melrose Industries (MRO)

They are to return 15p per share and reduce the number of shares held at the same time. Great. More money to sit in my ISA account doing nothing till I can think of somewhere to put it or spend it on. I'd prefer a bonus share issue and not have to pay SDRT and charges to acquire more of the same or something else. Or just a spanking dividend without share reduction. The s.p. hasn't even returned to pre-Covid levels. IIRC the directors did very well out of free LTIP shares, however. Perhaps I'm missing something.

So has mine on IWeb - not even the name appears when I click on the research page but it still shows in the portfolio with a s.p. of 392, The p/f page on IWeb doesn't show the day's movements so one has to go on the research page to find out and see if there any news but now there isn't one for Melrose. I clicked on chat and entered my phone no. as requested and a message came up that only numbers were permitted, which is precisely what I had entered, I give up. I suppose the robot thinks the two zeros which happen to be in my landline no, which is all I use normally, are the letter O.

Where did you get that info, PJE? I don't seem to have received any RNS to that effect or any notification from IWeb. Will have to sign on and have another look to see if IWeb have now caught up.

Nothing on my p/f re Dowlais and nothing under corporate actions and the total value of the shares listed in my p/f seems to be about £33k less today than it was at y'day's close. Please do pm a copy of your ii message to me. Thanks.

AJ Bell is showing it all as expected - 1 share in each of the new stocks for 3 of the old, and the total value about the same as it was before (Dowlais about 23% of the total). Here was the notification I got from them on 8th March: https://data.fca.org.uk/artefacts/NSM/P ... 069607.pdf

Dowlais was demerged from Melrose earlier this year.

Have either of them made a statement about the apportionment of base cost for CGT? If so, where can it be found?
