G7
As of now, latest government figures show the Covid incidence in G7 venue St Ives up by 2100% in the week to June 12th. One of four MSOA areas to show in purple on the new West Cornwall covid hot-spot.

When I watched some of the interviews, a great deal was made of the fact that everybody was tested daily for Covid. Obviously for safety, but also to avoid the embarrassment when delegates return home and discover they're infected.
Weird!

Which goes to show that testing, tracing and isolation was as much of a farce for G7 as for everyone else.

Those guys, the delegates and officials, were wrapped in cotton wool
- but for each of them there were a number of mouth breathing, clamouring, hangers on, paparazzi and peripheral parasites
- who, without the attention to hygiene or prophylaxis, would have unwittingly carried all sorts

Re: G7
St Ives up further into darkest purple, ahead of anywhere in the Blackburn and Bolton areas, and looks like the highest anywhere in the UK.
Is this a levelling-up agenda, or is hosting an international knees-up in the southwest a one-off?

Re: G7
Couple of weeks on (data for June 25th), and all the G7 locations have falling (but still very high) covid rates.
That's ... um ... quite some coincidence.

Re: G7
St Ives down more than 70% from the G7 peak.
Just goes to show, that levelling up agenda is fickle. The effect doesn't last.
