Hi there,
I will be on a training course in Leeds centre next month and wonder if anyone can recommend any good pubs in the centre? Also, anywhere to get a decent bite to eat without re-mortgaging my house?
Thanks in advance

I used to live up that way and there were some great Chinese and Indian restaurants. Was too long ago to give specific recs though.
Also if you like craft beers then some consider Leeds to be the craft beer capital.

Re: Leeds Pub recommendations
Plenty to choose from in Leeds. when i was a regular visitor I narrowed it down to these as my regular refuges, I am biased to pubs selling good real ale.
Mr Foley's Cask Ale House, good choice of local ales.
Veritas, interesting place, pub ,deli, cafe ? not sure but the beer is very good.
North Bar, modern trendy bar, good beer but a bit pricey.
Whitelock's First City Luncheon Bar, despite the name it is a first class pub with a good range of beer at reasonable prices. Food is excellent and well priced. I ate here often when travelling. Takes a bit of finding perhaps but well worth it.

Also, if you like Thai food, the Thai Edge, a hundred yards from Mr Foley's is superb.
