A notice on FindMypast https://www.findmypast.co.uk/1921-census
In the most anticipated family history development since the online publication of the 1939 Register, Findmypast has been selected as The National Archives’ commercial partner to make the 1921 Census of England & Wales available online.
The census, which was the first to be conducted following the introduction of the Census Act of 1920, will be published online by Findmypast in January 2022.
Still a way off, but something to look forward to.

Re: 1921 census - Publication
Well I hope it's better than the 1911 census. I believe the transcribing of the 1911 was carried out abroad and the result as far as Wales was concerned was a disaster. In some cases place names, first names and surnames were mangled beyond all recognition.

They should have sent the 1911 Welsh census material for transcription to Y Wladychfa Gymreig in Patagonia!
