The retail sector has always had more than its fair share of senior directors who catch the disease called chiefexecitis where they believe they can do anything and then bite off far more than they can chew.

I don't think the tax bill is anything to do with House of Fraser. It seems to be in relation to how Sports Direct has been moving its goods through the EU.
