Quick Links options removed when not logged in
If I'm not logged in and I click "Quick Links" (top left above Home) I can only see "The Team" as an option, whereas previously I could pick "Active Topics" etc
Intentional?

Same for me.
Work in progress or Intentional?
OK with me if intentional.

yes, very handy for checking activity (Active Topics option) when using my tablet without having to do a 'fiddly touch screen tiny button' login every time...

...This restriction has now been extended even to reading some of the boards.
Just sayin'.

If you don't log out you never have to login again

Not true.
At least via Apple iPhone. I have to log in at least once a day if not multiple times.

yes noticed that yesterday , I was looking at the Investment Strategies board whilst not logged in and couldn't get past first post.
And yes, my tablet does get logged out - not sure what triggers the logout, some sort of inactivity window?

a) make sure you tick "Remember me" when logging in
b) check that your browser settings accept cookies from http://www.lemonfool.co.uk and lemonfool.co.uk
c) check that your browser settings don't have it automatically deleting cookies on exit or similar

Re: Quick Links options removed when not logged in
I will have a fiddle, but always log out of stuff when i'm travelling anyway for security reasons- not being able to have a quick look at active topics 'on the move' is a bit of a pain

Re: Quick Links options removed when not logged in
So... if I just type lemonfool.co.uk into the Chrome address bar it takes me to an insecure version of the website and I get a page showing the cgi-bin folder. From the date stamp on the folder it looks like something changed at 21:50 on 4th December... that coincides with when I started seeing problems.

Re: Quick Links options removed when not logged in
Sorry - yes there are some restrictions being added to do a few things
1) encourage signups by guests
2) remove free content from guests without signing up - this stops people scraping content onto other sites.
Sorry this is a problem, I have the same issue - I have to login between desktop and phone as it treats the move as a new login.
We have had a mass amount of "guests" scanning every single page of the site and it affects genuine users performance and enjoyment of the site.
I say guests as they seem to be bots - one of which being a popular mobile manufacturer that has also been in the news.. please don't try to guess - you will just add to the problem by putting the name into search results
