Morning all,
A friend asked about the above. I suggested Digital Look which I used some years ago. However, I see that no longer works and takes you to ShareCast which doesn't appear suitable.
He just wants to monitor a few LSE shares but putting in historical data for the last couple of months.
They are held by an executor in an estate and will eventually be sold. He will not personally be investing so simplicity is of the essence.
I have Googled it and there seems to be a few, but to save me time reinventing the wheel, has anybody a favourite.
Thanks in advance,
Wuz

Re: Simulated Share Portfolio
I’d suggest ADVFN. No sniggering at the back there!
No, it’s fine for this sort of job. But rather than putting in historical data, just add your buy (I.e. enter the date that a given share was “bought”) at the point you want to track from.

Not wishing to hijack the thread, but I was meaning to post a similar question for a simulated portfolio app that I could use to teach the kids about the stock market during the lockdown. The 'cleanest' app I have seen so far is Yahoo but I have a long-standing dislike for their background data collection and handling.

Morning all
I use the London Stock Exchange's portfolio and trading simulator, which is very good. Here's the link https://www.londonstockexchange.com/glo ... ulator.htm
Cheers, OLTB.

Re: Simulated Share Portfolio
Hi,
Thanks GrahamPlatt and OLTB. I will pass both ideas on. I have used ADVFN a long time ago but never the LSE's own site. Both duly rec'd.
I found Yahoo very unreliable in the past so will not mention it.
Great quick responses.
Cheers,
Wuz
