New Issues
Perhaps it's just that the Broker (ii) participates more frequently, but there do seem more IPOs than there used to be. Invariably they are specialist ITs and specialist REITs rather than trading companies. They do however give private investors access to more out of the way investment opportunities. Perhaps that's the point. These are in market sectors which would be mostly barred to OEICs for liquidity and valuation reasons.

Interesting theme (I spent many years of my career working on space technologies). Not impressed by the Bezos/Branson style hype, though they're the ones who made big fortunes. But commercial applications of remote sensing appear to be a growth area: I have some flutters in startups there.
• UK Residential REIT – due to launch 15/07/21
o “privately rented residential real estate assets in the UK.”
Build to let? How's that going for the insurers? It's a market that could benefit from some professional corporate players, and there's a wide open niche to do for rentals what Premier Inns do for hotels. But horribly exposed to political whims.
• HydrogenOne Capital Growth – due to launch 30/07/21
o “diversified portfolio of hydrogen and complementary hydrogen focussed assets whilst integrating core ESG principles into its decision making and ownership process.”
Hmmm, it's certainly got the buzz, but is it an investment whose time has come?
• BlackFinch Renewable Energy Infrastructure – no launch date as yet.
A well-established sector. Also a bandwagon?
