Thanks for posting John!

Looks like something that I could have done with, like 1000s of times in the past.

I have to admit I scoffed (sorry) initially when looking at the video. Then I thought - hang on - those garden gates I have to hang tomorrow would be easier with these rather them wooden shims, and then dil's new bathroom door later in the week.... So thanks John ordered!

I'm sure they used to do these in a mega-size for lifting cars. Connect to the exhaust and it will raise the car for changing tyres etc. Or maybe I just invented something ?

Hmmm, if you'd seen the state of some cars' exhausts you wouldn't expect them to hold the pressure. When I were a lad, there was a merry prank going round that involved plugging parked cars' exhausts with a potato, and the risk was always that you'd explode a rotting silencer. :D But I believe that firemen and emergency rescue services do use lifting bags with pumps for lifting heavy objects off people. Paramedics also use them sometimes for lifting people who've fallen.

They are indeed very useful.
I have four.
Great for precision adjusting doors, gates.
I used them to hang two pairs of oak double doors when I built my garage, and for levelling up the frames when I built our sunroom. They are good for side-to-side adjustments as well as lifting.
Also good for getting hinges back into the cutouts if you've had heavy doors off.

Had mine five years or more.
Yes, great tool.

Word of caution.... the valves may leak... if a door, say, is wedged into an opening and the air leaks out the door can fall over on you... how do I know that...

Probably.
You can even get them for levelling up caravans: https://www.locknlevel.co.uk/

They get quite a bit bigger that that

If you're into reality TV "Highway Through Hell" shows them in use about once a season.

Where have I been looking all these years..
Exactly what I need for fitting doors and attaching radiators to walls.
I had looked for tiny trolley jacks adn never found one, but these are better.
