Funny dates/times
Is it just me but the timing and date of posts has got very weird for me to the extent that they are more or less a jumble of letters and numbers.

I'm not seeing anything that fits that description, so I suspect it's just you (or more precisely, just your browser and/or internet connection). But of course, I may not be looking at the same TLF pages as you are...
So I'd suggest first trying shutting down your browser (including logging off from TLF) and internet connection and restarting them. Then if that doesn't solve the problem, post again, copy-and-pasting the URL of a page you're seeing the problem on and an example or two of the mangled dates/times you're seeing into your post.

It is currently September 25th, 2021, 10:33 am
Very interesting, When I copied the above it was all a jumble but when I paste it it is en clair as above. I use two different browsers and it is the same with both. very weird.

wonder if it's a PC setting
have a look at dates and times in your Control Panel
not likely but worth a look

All seems fine there. What I am getting is the 2 in 'September 25th' lifted out and placed ahead like the following 'September 5th 2' and something similar with the time. Difficult to explain but clearly something has gone wrong.

Dod, I didn't say so in another thread (RDSB) but you mentioned September 4th... viewtopic.php?p=445176#p445176
I couldn't see any link/reference to that date.

Have a look in your User Control Panel, under the Board Preferences tab, and see if toggling the 'My Date Format' setting gets things working again.
Here's a snapshot of my working settings -

Thanks for that. On the settings, each one has the '2' transposed a few step forward, leaving the date in each case as September 5 2.
Weird or what?

If you change your 'My Date Format' setting in that configuration area (the red box highlighted) to the specific format setting that I'm using and the snapshot shows, using the drop-down menu to select it, and then 'Submit' that setting change, does that improve the situation at all?
Cheers,

Re: Funny dates/times
Not sure if it is related, but when I open TLF I keep getting a very annoying box which tells me at the top 'plugins-nms.exe-Application Error'
The message in the box says 'The instruction at 0x7673cc05 referenced memory at 0x005e5038. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program'.
Clicking OK does not terminate anything. The box just sits there. Is this related do you think?
I appreciate that this is now on the wrong thread sorry.
All the 'samples' are in the wrong format and I do not seem to be able to enter the correct format myself.

On a quick google that appears to be part of some Kaspersky software, presumably what you're using as an anti-virus? Try turning off anything Kaspersky and see if that changes anything....

I think you are right. I have since done a Google and it appears to be related to the K Password Manager and I think having stopped that, that the box has gone away. I am also using CCleaner and doing a Scan via Kaspersky. I am rather careless about this sort of thing but have Kaspesrky set up to do a full scan each week.
You know what? The original 'funny' date seems to have corrected itself as well. Something odd was going on but I seem to have cleaned it out of existence. Thanks for your input even if I am not sure if it directly changed anything but it got me moving! Just checked the User Control Panel date box and it is now fine. That's a relief.

Well, you could try restarting the things you stopped to see if the problems come back again. If it does then you'll know for sure that's causing the problem (at least the proximate cause) and how to fix it.
Then you can go and research the underlying reason for the problem and how to fix that ... assuming you want to have a working K Password Manager etc ...

I am very happy just to leave things as they are but if any of it returns I will need to do as you suggest.

I have been remiss in not also thanking IAAG for his help earlier so thanks to him as well.
