Just been finally informed the terms of the BHP/Woodside demerger - every 5.4 BHP generates 1 Woodside. BHP will be operating a small shareholder sale facility through which holders of less than 1000 BHP Group shares (circa £25k) can sell their Woodside shares rather than receiving them. However my BHC shares are owned in a SIPP and are held within a pooled nominee account - hence this sale facility not available. So left with a small amount of Woodside shares that may either be listed in London (not certain) or may have to sell through Australian SE. All a bit of a nuisance.

I thought selling of Woodside shares will be no more difficult than selling BHP shares.

Interactive Investor states..
"However, Woodside Petroleum Limited are expected to list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), where you will be able to trade them. If no listing occurs on the LSE we will endeavour to move your shares to our international custodian upon receipt and you will be then be able to trade them on our platform through the Australian Stock Exchange."

Re: BHP Demerger
Looking at my Lloyd's Directinvestment account, I see that they say that the Woodside shares will appear in my account on 6th June. Like dividends, things tend to happen at the end of the working day, which no doubt accounts for it not being there on 1st June.

Woodside Energy Group just appeared in my portfolio - but of course no financial actual data yet apart from the share allocation.

On interactive investor, I can see "Woodside Energy Group NPV" with a share quantity. Clicking on the entry give a "404 - File or directory not found".
