What am I missing here ?
Agoda offer filters for room specification that include "Ironing Board" or "Bathtub". They don't include the far more important "en-suite bathroom"
So I get unwanted results with dormitories.
Booking.Com do offer the "Private Bathroom" option, but then the results come back including beds in an 8 room dorm. How can that be a "private bathroom" when I would be sharing the room ?
Now for those of you who search for £200 rooms, this probably isn't a problem.
My approach is to look for the cheapest good quality room. Clean, comfortable, acceptable style, en-suite & wifi.
Is there some way to reliably exclude dorms from results ?

Is there a way (a slider) to push UP the minimum cost? Might that then help achieve your objective?
Or if the booking enquiry is initially based on 2 people?

Yes, but this is inefficient. In some cities, I can get a nice clean room with ensuite for the same price as some of the higher priced shared hostel rooms. The only difference is I might need to walk 10 minutes further & perhaps get lucky with the offers.
