Can I just say that I've just had the most enjoyable time? Quite apart from the momentous occasion of the meeting of our visionaries I've just had such a good time with friends old and (very) new. C.

This part of the post for you know who.
Had I been there, it would have been good to have met you, in addition to the “visionaries”.

It was very good! What time did it finish? I had to leave before 10pm to get my train. Probably just as well, as I'd had 'several' beers by then!
Great to meet Stooz and Clariman!

Sorry I left so early, I was so cold my legs nearly stopped working on the way to the Tube, I only warmed up about a mile outside Bedford.
Great to meet the bosses! And the newbies.

It was my feet - tights are just not warm enough with shoes, standing on pavement for ages. If it were a bit colder I'd have been wearing boots, and if it was really cold I'd have socks on over my tights in the boots (maybe even with as sheepskin insole...) which would have been warmer. So, it was just not quite too cold!

Re: London Autumn Social - 16th Nov with stooz and clariman
I will try and find somewhere where we can sit down inside for the spring social (possibly revert to Clachan for summer),
As mentioned previously, problem is - if there's an accessible central London pub that's quiet on a Friday night, it's probably awful...
Booking a function room is a non-starter as there is normally a fee and/or minimum spend.

Just as well I didn't try to brave the elements. I was frozen to the pavement by pain last time, Mel, even wearing flattish shoes so the cold would have made it unbearable. Old ladies need to sit down. However, the chaps probably have more fun without us and I appreciate the difficulties of finding a suitable venue.
