It's great to see so many familiar names, and C&S have done a brilliant job in setting up such a welcoming `refugee centre' at such short notice - they're truly the Angela Merkels of TMF!
Incidentally, what's the etiquette on smilies? They were never around at TMF, but I can now see a whole host of them outside peering through the Snug windows, are they to be kept at bay?
Cheers!
Hi CK,
Hope it wasn't too traumatic.
As for smilies, well I used to do them the old fashioned way, when appropriate
I think that the non animated ones are fine and help to indicate when a comment is less than serious.

I like courgettes (I usually buy 3 a week, organic). Also, they've been picked the night before or possibly early morning same day before so taste like courgettes should.

I like courgettes sliced and fried in bacon fat as part of my 'Full English' when back home on holiday

You may have noticed me lurking in the corner. I don't tend to get too involved with the banter but I do enjoy eavesdropping. Maybe I'll be able to offer a few titbits after a couple of sherries.

Re: Welcome to Beerpig's snug!
What a fine and cosy evening in the snug... I'm thinking about popping a bottle of Tripel-Karmeliet [https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/202/656/ - rates at a 'World Class' 94%]
Only trouble is it's the wife's. She doesn't actually drink beer much at all, but has a thing where she hoards a few super-stars in the fridge for months, before finally having one perhaps when friends visit. Meanwhile everyday as a hop-head I open the fridge and they stand there, perfectly settled and chilled taunting me This gets worse when she's off travelling and I open the fridge and have a 'would she actually notice?' moment*...
* Prior experience has taught me, yes she will lol!

Re: Welcome to Beerpig's snug!
Haven't been able to spend much time here. I'm renovating my house and Mrs Rav wants it all done by yesterday. I knew I shouldn't have retired.
Great to see old mates here
Can I have a bottle of the Malbec please?
Cheers
