The old Fixedincome web site Corporate Bond Lists
The old Fixedincome web site Corporate Bond Lists
The old Fixed income web site used to have a link to GBP Corporate Bonds. You could view the bonds list by price , yield, and alphabetical orders. It was a very simple way of seeing current prices etc. Anyone have a link to something similar on lemon fool or elsewhere

Well.. I scrape prices from HL and this is it. It is not perfect and I did it as a activity some time ago. Definitely room for improvement.

Are you asking about the spreadsheet Mark Taber had created? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Well done for saving Mark's list. I recall that the live pricing broke down long ago, I think it takes a good deal of effort to prevent link decay.

It can now be done using HL or youinvest . I sometimes used Power Automate Desktop(PAD), so that it scrapes from my browser, in that way it will always work.
Below is for google spreadsheet as an example to get the LIVE(15 min delay) prices as an example
Code: Select all
=index(IMPORTXML("https://www.youinvest.co.uk/market-research/LSE:GACA","//*[contains(concat(' ', normalize-space(@class), ' '), 'ajb-inline-block')]"),1,2)
=index(IMPORTXML("https://www.youinvest.co.uk/market-research/LSE:GACA","//*[contains(concat(' ', normalize-space(@class), ' '), 'ajb-inline-block')]"),2,2)
Re: The old Fixedincome web site Corporate Bond Lists
Thanks for the replies. The coding looks a bit daunting to me. What I liked about the old site was the comprehensive list of Corporate bonds and the ability to quickly re-order the list view in yield or price or name. I don't think it was a real time list, just a daily list. It would have been particularity interesting and useful when looking at the state of retail bonds issued over the past five years some of which might be attractively priced now that bond prices have dropped. Trouble is I can't remember them all to go looking for them by individual names. I read somewhere (Daily Telegraph I think) that Tesco Personal Finance, 3.5% might be worth buying> suppose I could look up the prices and charts on LSE site but, as I say, a listing of all of them would be good. I did put it forward in the suggestions forum but don't know whether anyone will pick it up. I was lucky I avoided Wasps and dumped Eros early. However most of my short dated retails bands are underwater at the moment. I am 80 now so bonds in my ISA are the way to go. The shares I have are down about 40 % so that and spend it!

The items listed were predominantly issued by financial institutions - banks, building socs and insurers. Since 2008 there seems much less available and
I wonder if the bank-issued prefs might be safer that insurance prefs this time around, because the insurers are potentially on the hook for pension issues following the special budgetary operation?

I was probably not clear in the last message. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 9&range=A1 is the automatically updated price(thanks to Google and HL), taken from https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/corporate-b ... /gbp-bonds and https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/corporate-b ... and-others . That information is consolidated and sorted by "Years To Maturity". Click on the link in the line to get bid/offer as per HL.
