JustGiving or similar for PTA?

#2055

Postby hectorcat » November 8th, 2016, 9:31 am

Hi,

I'm now treasurer for my son's school's PTA and we are looking into ways of making it easier for parents / friends to help us with our fundraising and in particular sponsored events.

I'm aware that companies such as 'JustGiving' take a % of the funds for admin costs, but don't know which is the 'best' of these types of sites to use.

Is anyone familiar with setting up this kind of an account for a PTA or similar and could perhaps let me know of any of the pitfalls they have found?

Thanks
Hectorcat

Look at BT Fundraising for lower costs than just giving. A number of people I know have used it with no problems.

Have you also considered https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/
Your PTA would earn a percentage of online purchases made using Easyfundraising as a portal to numerous websites. Easy to use and essentially free money.
