An article in today's DT probably hasn't helped:

Re: RIT Capital Partners PLC (RCP)
The share price had already fallen to an unaccustomed large discount to NAV presumably as the market expected further write downs of the unquoted portfolio beyond those already made, so this fall may be double discounting that. Being an investment trust rather than a fund means they will not be forced sellers of anything.
Anyway the long term track record is very very good so for me this is not a time to sell.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to "Questor".

Agree although coincidentally I did sell 300 shares of RIT on Tuesday as I felt something wasn't quite right about its chart, reducing my position to 1,000 shares. Who says emotions aren't useful for investing?

"felt something wasn't quite right about its chart,"
I feel that about quite a few of my holdings!
What was it that made you trim down to a round number?

I still have a strange preference for round lots, probably instilled in me back in the 1980s when such things actually mattered. So that is 100 for US shares and 1,000 for UK shares. That can be useful if you want to use listed options, although few if any ITs offer options.
